The above event is being presented by Martyn Devlin of “Fighting Talk” Promotions in association with Bilton Hall ABC Jarrow and in conjunction with the Premier Inn Newcastle City Centre.

We have organised a momentous sporting dinner that will feature no fewer than 6 former British world boxing champions: Light Heavyweight champion John Conteh, former Undisputed Middleweight champion Alan Minter, Welterweight champion John H Stracey, Undefeated Light Welterweight champion Terry Marsh and former Flyweight champion Charlie Magri.  The evening’s guest speaker will be John Conteh.  John is still rated as the countries best and most entertaining boxing after dinner speaker.  Also booked to appear is TV’s top boxing personality from Setanta sports Steve Bunce.  Steve will comment on the current fight scene and on the up and coming fights featuring Ricky Hatton, Joe Calzaghe and David Haye.  We are also inviting the North-East’s former world Cruiserweight champion and Sky TV pundit Glenn McCrory, and Olympic Bronze medallist Tony Jeffries.

The evening will include a 3 course dinner, fight clips on the big screen, your opportunity to put a question to the champions, a short auction of boxing memorabilia, raffle and the opportunity to have your photo and autographs with the champions.  The evening’s entertainment will be provided by none other than John H Stracey.
